In October 2018, tensions inside Jujutsu High School rose following the attack on the exchange event by a special-grade curse. Finally, the identity of the traitor is revealed.
Who is the traitor, and what is their purpose...?!
On October 31st, 2018, out of nowhere, a "barrier" was dropped around the busy Shibuya Station area during Halloween, trapping numerous civilians inside. They used a sophisticated barrier technique, only trapping civilians, alongside the order to "bring Satoru Gojo." The higher-ups decided that Gojo must act alone to minimize the damage and bring peace to Shibuya.
Gojo entered the barrier solo as the cursed spirits and curse users like Suguru Geto and Mahito, welcomed him with their trap. Meanwhile, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Kento Nanami, and many other jujutsu sorcerers gathered outside the barrier.
The unprecedented battle between Jujutsu Sorcerers and Cursed Spirits finally begins!

The anime 'Touken Ranbu: Kai -Kyoden Moyuru Honnoji- is a new anime based on the first play of the 'Touken Ranbu' stage series, which was first performed in 2016.
Kenichi Suemitsu serves as the scriptwriter and series composer for this work since he has been responsible for writing and directing the stage plays for many years. The original voice cast from the original game, Touken Ranbu ONLINE, returns to voice the characters.
